Mission Statement

Our Mission:

Sing Sing Prison Museum shares stories of incarceration and reform, past and present, and brings people together to imagine and create a more just society.

Our Goals:

  • Become a prominent voice in the national conversation about social and criminal justice.
  • ​Become the leading prison museum in the U.S.
  • Have a positive impact on the incarcerated, workers, victims, and families.
  • Stimulate local and regional economic development in the Hudson Valley and the village of Ossining. 

Our Vision:

Sing Sing Prison Museum envisions a justice system dedicated to healing and rehabilitation and a society that respects individual humanity and dignity.
