Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 12:30-5:00 pm
Dance to Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, enjoy an open bar and foods inspired by the Hudson Valley. Help build the Sing Sing Prison Museum that will tell the story of 200 years of American criminal justice history. Join us!
Swinging to the early music of the Jazz Age, while cruising up the majestic Hudson River from Yonkers to “The Big House” in Ossining and return. Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks will perform totally danceable music on board, all evocative of the era in which Sing Sing was made famous by Hollywood movies. The Nighthawks orchestra is renowned for bringing back the authentic music of the 20s, 30s, and 40s, when jazz greats Cole Porter, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong and many more created a truly American songbook.
Hornblower Cruises & Events is donating the use of their 600-passenger “Hybrid” vessel that has two climate-controlled indoor decks for dancing and an outdoor observation deck for enjoying the fall scenery. The company offers private events such as corporate functions, weddings and holiday parties, and public cruises including brunch, lunch, dinner, happy hour, parties, and sightseeing.
Boarding for the Sing Sing cruise is from the Yonkers City Pier starting at 12:30pm for a 1pm departure. The cruise will travel north, allowing guests to view Sing Sing from the water and to hear about plans for the museum. The return trip to Yonkers will dock at 5pm.
Tickets are $175 per person for the 4-hour boat trip, live big band and dancing, open bar with New York cider, beer, wine and spirits, and a tasting menu featuring the Hudson Valley harvest.
